Junaedi Proposes Island Reclamation to Enter Seribu Islands Region

Seribu Islands Regent, Junaedi is optimistic and believes that if the reclamation island area of Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 1 is included in his territory, it will have a positive impact on the welfare of Seribu Islands people.

He explained his party had submitted a letter of recommendation to the Jakarta Acting Governor, thus the addition of PIK area, namely the reclamation islands C, D, G, and N, would be included in Seribu Archipelago territory.
"In the framework of equality and improving the welfare of residents in terms of the need for manpower, we need a large area of land," he said when he led the employee ceremony, Monday (7/31) morning.
Seribu Islands Residents Warmly Welcome Acting Governor's VisitAs for the information, in the PIK 1 area, there are several reclamation islands, such as East Reclamation Island or Golf Island PIK and West Reclamation Island or Ebony Island. Then, there are also Islands C, D, G, and N.
This reclamation island is classified in zone B8 in Presidential Decree Number 60/2020 on Spatial Plans for Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, Puncak, and Cianjur Urban Areas. Currently, Reclamation Islands C, D, G, and N are included in North Jakarta.
"I propose that these four islands be included in Seribu Islands Regency to break down social inequalities and equalize development between regions in Jakarta, as well as open up business and investment opportunities. We want the Seribu Islands to develop," he stated.
